WHAT IS THE COMMUNITY CADET CORPS?

The CCC program while similar to Air/Army Cadets is tailored to meet the needs of the community. This grass roots organization relies on many community partners and of course the enthusiastic participation of our youth. The program focuses on an alternative learning method teaching Leadership, Culture, Healthy Lifestyle and the Environment.

HOW IS IT DIFFERENT?

The CCC is a very flexible program, better suited to accommodate the First Nations and Metis youth. The CCC encourages our youth to volunteer, to appreciate the importance of education and to act with respect, honesty and integrity.

WHO CAN JOIN?

Boys and girls ages 10-18 can join. We strongly encourage that the youth are attending school on a full time basis. they do not have to be of First Nation of Metis origin.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Costs will depend on band or community support, resources available or other funding options available in your area.

DOES OUR LOCAL POLICE SERVICE HAVE TO START THE PROGRAM?

No, the police may want to assist you, or may make themselves available to answer any questions you may have, but the program can be coordinated by anyone who is interested.

WHERE DO I FIND THE INFORMATION TO GET THIS PROGRAM STARTED?

The RCMP have dedicated a position in Regina, Saskatchewan to further develop this program, and to assist those interested in starting a Community Cadet Corps.
